I can't paint a stick figure! Is this for me?

Absolutely!

All my designs are suitable for complete beginners and people who haven't painted for years (or have never painted!)

The canvas is pre-sketched, which is usually a great relief. I also paint with you, showing you each step as I go.

More confident artists also enjoy having the design pre-sketched onto the canvas, so they can jump right in and have fun with paint, hue, mood, depth, brush-strokes etc to create their perfect masterpiece.

We all just have fun and paint together.

Do you provide alcohol?

Events at local venues like The Dock and Cauldron Brewing have alcohol available, and sometimes include food & drink in the ticket price - more info on the booking page for each event.

I don't supply alcohol at the Studio (due to liquor licensing laws) but of course, you are more than welcome to bring your favourite drink.

I have a fridge in the studio that you can use, and I provide glassware too.

For those who are driving, don't drink alcohol or who are coming to a morning paint party, I provide water (still and sparkling), pod coffees and a selection of lovely teas, herbal as well as good old black tea.

What's included in the ticket price?

All equipment, step by step instruction, easels, brushes, disposable aprons, paint and your canvas to take home are all included in the ticket price.

Where is the Get Off Your Arts studio?

We're super lucky to have this beautiful studio in our back garden. We have an acre of garden in quiet and leafy Wondunna, Hervey Bay, just off Doolong Road and 3km from my fave beach.

The studio is actually an old mining donga that has been lovingly transformed into a pretty creative haven. So it doesn't look much from the outside, but most people, when they first walk in, say "wow! it's gorgeous!".

There is plenty of off-road parking right by the studio. There is a bit of a step up and I'm sorry but we don't have wheelchair access (yet!).

Look out for the 'roos nibbling the grass when you leave.
